Put On Yo' Record: Landon Taylor

Why is music important to you?
Music is truly the greatest of the Arts. With it's unyielding ability to charm the soul, music stands alone in its ability to influence. Music has been used as an instrument to channel happiness, pain and even provide secret messages to free the enslaved. I too am a testament to such an experience. I was raised by a musician in Mississippi. Growing up, my father would often play the piano, guitar, and saxophone. Thus, it is the ability to take me to a place of happiness…Music is my opium.
Favorite Song...
Human Nature- The feeling expressed and the lyrics are genius! As a child I fell in love with the chorus and its counterpoint.
Favorite musician...
Boyz II Men, because of their ability to fill the music with various chords with out an instrumental accomplice.

2. II- Boyz II Men
3. Miracle at St. Anna Soundtrack- Terence Blanchard
4. The Black Album- Jay Z
